Petra Peršolja
Petra Persolja has performed throughout the United States, Italy, Croatia, and her native Slovenia. Her repertoire includes standard classical solo piano works, chamber music, accompaniments and contemporary music premieres as soloist, in piano duo setting, with traditional chinese as well as south pacific asian instruments. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano peformance title from the University of California Santa Barbara (2020). Her doctoral research was focused on classical piano pieces constructed on the Istrian Scale; a unique musical phenomenon born as a result of cultural blend between Slovenia, Italy and Croatia. Dr. Peršolja holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Hawaii and two Bachelor degrees in Piano perfromance from Rowan University, NJ as well as Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She resides in the area of Santa Clara, California, where she enjoys performing and teaching.
